Teaspoon Sawtelle is a bubble tea in Los Angeles, California. It is listed at 1947 Sawtelle Blvd Ste E, Los Angeles, CA 90025, which places it among the local businesses of Los Angeles that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as coffee shop, tea house, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
Hours at these spots often run into the evening, later than a typical coffee shop, and many stay open on weekends when demand is highest in Los Angeles. Seasonal and limited-time drink or dessert flavors are common, so a shop's current menu can differ from what is posted online; checking recent photos or calling ahead helps. Some locations in California are dessert-only with no seating, meant for takeout, while others have cafe-style seating for staying a while. Straws for bubble tea are typically wide to accommodate the toppings, and are provided automatically unless you ask for a regular one. Loyalty apps and stamp cards are common at chain locations, and ordering ahead through an app can shorten a wait considerably at busy locations during peak after-school and after-dinner hours.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 11 amβ11 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Iβve tried boba all over the world, and nothingabsolutely nothingcomes close to this place in LA The texture of the pearls is perfectly balanced, soft yet satisfyingly chewy, and the tea itself tastes incredibly fresh and rich, not overly sweet or artificial like most spots. Every sip feels crafted, not just made This isnβt just boba, itβs an experience. You can tell they care about quality in every detail, from the ingredients to the presentation. If you think youβve had good boba before, come here and prepare to have your standards completely reset Hands down, the best boba in the world. No debate.

I love the quality and freshness of the tea here. Very fresh and tasty and I appreciate that you can modify how sweet the drink is. There are many choices and new drinks introduced often. My βgo toβ is the Thai Tea with boba and I also enjoy the lychee tea on a hot day. Perfect boba always. Great service.

Tried a lot of different drinks! I'm not a fan of banana flavor but the banana in the matcha and the honeycomb milk tastes quite subtle, and it's pretty fragrant. I also got the Vietnamese coffee frappe, which was more of a slushie because it was so foamy/liquid-y, rather than icy which I prefer. The liquid gold (oolong tea with cream) and lychee black tea had great tea flavor as well. Every drink was not overly sweet (some had sweetness adjustment to 20% or below). A good after-dinner treat if you're in the Sawtelle area!

Try their Ube Vietnamese coffee - its so good! π The coffee is strong and the ube on top was creamy and added a different texture and flavor to the drink. I got mine to-go and ordered online for pick up. The staff are friendly and got my order ready exactly when the app alerted me. It's also clean and cozy inside. I will definitely come back and maybe stay foe a while to get some work or reading done.
The Baseline a year ago
The Baseline: For bubble tea cafes the drinks must have the proper temperature for the drink, suitably firm tapioca pearls, and the drink must be quality. Food: Teaspoon is a great chain to pick up your boba. I ordered the Ube Vietnamese coffee that had a good balance of strong/sweet. Service: The staff was not on-point on speaking with me but performed the most important task of preparing my order correctly. I used the mobile app for ordering and to earn rewards but it was slow to set up and process on the initial setup. Hopefully both issues will improve on a return visit. Ambience: Fun seating area with good spacing and there are games to play.
